What is the latest technology?

It starts with how we capture the shape of your residual limb. Most facilities wrap plaster-of-paris bandages around your leg. at O.P.T. Inc., we use state of the art computers. A three-dimensional digitizer and quad receiver motion tracking system will create a computer-generated model of your residual limb. This file can now be sent to a 3-axis computer numerically controlled (CNC) lathe that will carve an exact replica of your limb.

It sounds complex but what it means to you is a 20 minute office visit and you will have your new leg in a couple of days , not weeks or months.
